Labour Day or Día del Trabajador

Labour Day or Día del Trabajador is a public holiday in Fuerteventura and is on May 1st. Should this day fall on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday will officially be a holiday.

Public transport operates a Sunday timetable, banks and government offices are usually closed along with certain shops including supermarkets, especially those located outside of the main tourist resorts.
